Franklin is a small township on the banks of the Huon River, located just 10 minutes south of Huonville.  The perfect place to stop and explore on your way to Hastings Caves and the Tahune Airwalk.  The town has a village like atmosphere with plenty of history – it was named after Sir John Franklin and his wife Lady Jane Franklin. Franklin has a large river foreshore area with plenty of space and great photo opportunities of the Huon River and looking back towards Sleeping Beauty Mountain ranges.
